Safety & Compliance

Nurse safely disposes of a used needle in a biohazard container

To maintain a safe environment for our clients, their families and our staff, all of our healthcare workers practice standard precautions. This is the practice by which all blood, body fluids and substances are treated as if they are potentially infectious. All staff observe frequent hand washing as well as the use of gloves, masks and gowns when indicated.

Transmission-based precautions are used to decrease the risk of known infections. Therefore, all healthcare givers have been instructed in basic standard precautions and good hand washing technique in handling soiled utilities, respiratory secretions and other body fluids and substances as well as using the bathroom.

If you have any questions about standard precautions and other infection prevention techniques or concerning infectious diseases such as AIDS, Hepatitis-B, TB and pathogens such as MRSA, VRE, ACBC, et cetera, please call our Hotline: 443-415- 3345
